Welcome to Virgil Visions!
If you've stopped by looking for that bit of odd nostalgia with an
updated twist of subversive humor, or a glimpse of futures that
might have been, then you've come to the right
place.
We're independent
producers of
digital artwork, online video and DVDs and with a particular
passion for
reviving retro-science, technology and entertainment themes for
audiences both old and new.
In 2004, our first DVD release, "Atomic Shorts" gained notoriety for
bringing classroom classics such as 'Duck and Cover', and 'A is for
Atom' back into the public eye. "Past-O-Rama,
Volume One" soon followed later that year with more forgotten training
treasures. In 2005, "Atomic Briefs", the long-awaited sequel to
"Atomic Shorts" was released, soon followed by "Past-O-Rama, Volume
Two" in 2006. We looked to the skies for more short-subject
propaganda with the
2007 release of "Space Haste!".
In late 2007 we expanded into the world of digital space art, premiering six new pieces. This year, we've premiered additional pieces at several art shows and online galleries.
2008 saw our most ambitious project to date, the creation of an
original online documentary series for a science-fiction video blog.
